There are several terms and conditions that we ask you to comply with (our “Terms of Use“).  This is to make our Web site and service as friendly, easy to use, and beneficial as possible for everyone.  We may add to or change the Terms of Use in the future.  If we make any changes to the Terms of Use, the changes will be posted on our Web site.

By using the EventSalon Web site and service, you are indicating that you agree with the Terms of Use and that you will comply with them.  If you do not agree with the Terms of Use, we ask that you not use our Web site and service.

You must be at least 13 years old to use EventSalon.

You may not use EventSalon to perform any illegal activity.

You may not send unsolicited email advertisements or “spam” to any email address obtained from the EventSalon Web site.

EventSalon may refuse or restrict service at any time, without prior notice, and with or without cause.  EventSalon may change its Web site and/or service, including discontinuing content or features, at any time.

The EventSalon Web site and service are provided on an “as is“ and “as available“ basis.  Event content appearing on EventSalon is the responsibility of the person or organization that posted it.  EventSalon will make every reasonable attempt to verify and authenticate the Event content posted on its site, including the source of such content.  However, EventSalon will not be liable to you or to any third party for errors, omissions, or other inaccuracies in such content.  EventSalon does not warrant that your use of the Web site and/or service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that defects will be corrected, or that the Web site and/or its servers are free of viruses and/or other harmful components.  EventSalon may contain links to other Web sites that are independent of EventSalon and outside EventSalon's control.  EventSalon takes no responsibility for such Web sites, including the accuracy of any information contained on them. EventSalon expressly disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of title, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

The EventSalon Web site may be “indexed” and linked to by Internet search engines and other Web sites.  However, unless you have received the express prior permission of EventSalon, LLC, you are strictly prohibited from copying, extracting, mining, retrieving, and/or downloading, whether by manual or automated processes, aggregate EventSalon Event content for display, reproduction, or use on Web sites and/or other media that provide event listings and/or event information to the public.  For purposes of the previous sentence, “aggregate EventSalon Event content” is defined as twenty-five or more separate Event listings in any twenty-four hour period.   

You may not "frame" or otherwise simulate the appearance or function of the EventSalon Web site or service on another Web site or portray EventSalon in a false, misleading, derogatory, or offensive manner.

If you believe that your work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, or that your intellectual property rights have been otherwise violated, please contact Copyright@EventSalon.com and provide the information requested in our Intellectual Property Policy.

Members

Please note that if you register as a Member of EventSalon, you are fully responsible for your EventSalon account and its use, including maintaining the confidentiality of your password. 

If you register your Organization, EventSalon may make reasonable attempts to verify the registration information that you post. EventSalon may check the Internet domain associated with the email address you provide and/or other publicly available information about the Organization you seek to register.  EventSalon may also contact the Organization you seek to register in an attempt to verify your authorization to post Event content on behalf of that Organization.  If it appears to EventSalon that the Organization you seek to register is not a valid Organization, or if it you do not have authorization from the Organization to post Event content on its behalf, EventSalon reserves the right (but not the obligation), in its sole discretion, to request that you provide verification information to EventSalon in order to register the Organization and post Event content. 

Events that you post in EventSalon must be open to the public without discrimination on the basis of race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation.

EventSalon recommends that you include the following information in your Event postings:

• the admission fee, if any;
• provisions for handicapped accessibility to the Event site;
• whether any date(s) are sold out or restricted to Organization members.

You are responsible for the content of all Events that you post in EventSalon.

You will not use EventSalon to do any of the following:

• Post content or initiate communications that are abusive, defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, or that violate the legal rights of others.
• Transmit any data that (a) infringes upon the intellectual property or proprietary information rights of others, including patent, copyright, trademark, and trade secret rights; (b) you do not have a legal right to disclose; and/or (c) you are not permitted to disclose as a result of any contractual or fiduciary relationship(s) you may have.
• Transmit any advertising, promotional materials, or solicitations other than those specifically authorized in writing by EventSalon.
• Transmit any material that contains software viruses or other computer code, files, or programs that may interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of any computer software, hardware, or telecommunications equipment.

EventSalon may, in its sole discretion, reformat, excerpt, translate, re­classify, and/or delete any Event content submitted or posted by you.

EventSalon may collect the following information:

• information that you provide in a Member and/or Organization registration form;
• information about the Events you search for, including any "saved" searches.

EventSalon does not target its services toward, and does not knowingly collect, any personal information from users under the age of 13 years. EventSalon will remove any Member and/or Organization registration if it learns that such registration was made by a person under the age of 13. 

By submitting Member and/or Organization registration information to EventSalon, you consent to its use by EventSalon for the purpose of providing EventSalon’s services.  You further consent to the storage of such data on EventSalon’s servers, including the transfer of such data across international borders, if necessary. By posting Event content and/or other data on the EventSalon Web site, you grant EventSalon a perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, royalty-free license to use such Event content and/or data in the course of providing EventSalon's services. 

EventSalon will not share your personally identifiable information with any third party for commercial purposes. The only information we may share with third parties for commercial purposes is information that is not personally identifiable, such as aggregate data or site statistics. The name of any registered Organization is not deemed personally identifiable information. Any data posted in Event content is not deemed personally identifiable information.

EventSalon may disclose information about you if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with legal process, to enforce our Terms of Use, or to protect the rights, property, and/or safety of EventSalon, its users, and third parties.

These Terms of Use will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Vermont without regard to conflicts of law principles.

All logos and trademarks appearing on this site, with the exception of those appearing in Event listings or advertisements for entities other than EventSalon, are the property of EventSalon, LLC.
